Steel grade DC01 is a structural, unalloyed steel for cold forming. This grade belongs to the group of quality steels and is marked with the letters DC and two numbers. This steel is very often used in the form of flat semi-finished metallurgical products, and is supplied in the form of cold-rolled sheets, strips or strips. It is characterized by very good deformability, characterized by a high value of minimum elongation and limited strength.
DC01 steel belongs to the group of well-welded and welded steels and can be coated with various protective coatings. It is easy to weld by conventional methods such as arc welding and spot welding. DC01 steel has certain mechanical properties and maximum permissible concentrations of carbon, manganese, phosphorus and sulfur, providing it with very good deformability during cold forming. In addition, DC01 steel produced in sheet, strip or strip form is often produced as galvanized, aluminized or coated by other methods.
With its low carbon and impurity content, DC01 steel has high ductility and good cold forming ability. It is often used for intensive forming processes such as stamping and bending.
DC01 steel chemical composition
A very important factor in determining the mechanical properties of a given steel is its chemical composition. According to melt analysis, the chemical composition of DD11 steel should be in accordance with the values given in the table below.
Designation | C % max. | Mn % max. | P % max. | S % max. | Ti | |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
DC01 | 1.0330 | 0,12 | 0,60 | 0,045 | 0,045 | 0,05 |
