50HS steel is a high-strength spring steel ideal for automotive and engineering applications. Thanks to its high hardness, resilience and fatigue resistance, it is widely used for springs and other components that must operate under high dynamic loads. This steel ensures long service life and reliability in the most demanding operating conditions. Thanks to its properly designed chemical composition and appropriate processing, it is widely used for the production of high-strength and fatigue-resistant components. Thanks to its high manganese and silicon content, 50HS steel exhibits good elasticity, high strength and fatigue resistance, making it an ideal choice for components operating under high dynamic loads.
50HS steel is usually hardened and tempered to achieve the desired mechanical properties. The hardening process increases hardness, while tempering improves ductility and reduces brittleness, providing better fatigue strength. It is a non-weldable steel grade.

50HS steel application
50HS chrome-silicon spring steel with high hardenability is used for heavily loaded springs with Rm strength up to 1500 MPa, especially for springs and springs of motor vehicles, torsion bars.
50HS steel is particularly valued for its strength and fatigue resistance, making it widely used for:
- technical springs, used in the automotive, aerospace and engineering industries (including coil and plate springs, flat springs up to 6 mm thick,)
- suspension components, from which high strength and durability are required (leaf springs, among others)
- machine parts subjected to intensive dynamic and fatigue loads.
