Description
Hot-rolledsheets are products that are produced at high temperatures during the heat treatment process. With hot-rolled sheets, plastic deformation takes place above the recrystallization temperature, resulting in the impossibility of restoring the steel's crystal structure before processing.
The advantage of hot-rolled sheets is primarily the high strength properties of the material, as well as improved yield strength.
The application of hot-rolled sheets is the industrial sector for the production of thick sheets, which are used in structural elements of bridges, vehicles or machinery. Hot-rolled sheets have a much wider thickness tolerance than cold-rolled ones. This is due to the fact that the glowing steel is finally subjected to a recrystallization process, thanks to which it obtains the desired properties and dimensions.
