Description
Structural thick plates (quarto) are mainly hot-rolled in reversing mills. Thick plates have good welding properties, and are susceptible to additional processing (e.g. normalizing, hardening, cutting, etc.).
The main advantage of structural thick plates (quarto) is their multifunctionality and versatility.
The application of structural thick plates (quarto) depends on the grade, for example, they can be:
- production of steel structures, e.g. for the construction of bridges, flyovers;
- large diameter pipes;
- construction of ships, offshore platforms;
- elements of agricultural, road, mining, handling machinery, and many others;
- transportation components.
Thegrades of structural plate steel that are presented in the offer of Moris Ltd. are S235JR, S355J2 (with or without normalization), S355MC. The rest of the grades are available on request.
The dimensions of structural heavy plates are in the range from 8x2000x6000 and up to 100x2000x12000. The rest of the dimensions are available upon request.
