What is a hot-rolled round bar?

Hot-rolled round bars, commonly referred to as "steel bars," are produced by hot-rolling billets of continuously cast steel. The steel bars can be subjected to additional hot processing, forging, stamping, milling or welding.

Round steel bars - advantages
The main advantage of steel round bars is that they are widely used in various industries, including industrial, construction, agricultural, automotive, oil and gas.

Steel bars - grades
The most popular steel grades for the production of hot-rolled steel bars include S235JR (soft), S355J2 (hard), 16/20MNCR5, 42CRMO4, 41CR4 (structural steels), C45E (carbon/carbon steel).

Round bars of steel - dimensions
Moris Sp. z o.o. offers rod diameters from fi 8 mm and up to fi 300 mm (other dimensions upon agreement), standard lengths are 6000 mm or 12000 mm (other lengths upon agreement).

Round bars - what are they used for
Example application of round bars: production of forged products, joints, discs, rings, valves, axles, seamless pipes. Steel rods are irreplaceable in the production of spare parts or tools from the automotive, aerospace and shipbuilding industries. Bars are used to create fences, greenhouses, trellises of various purposes. Manufacturers also use steel bars for making strong reinforced concrete structures, forming and reinforcing various types of flooring.
