What is a drawn or hulled round bar?
Drawnround bars are formed by processing round bars in the manner of pulling out material on a special machine. The drawing is done through a trapezoidal cylinder with a smaller diameter than the batch bar. The machine gives the bars the necessary shape and dimension. After the cold drawing process, the surface is free of imperfections and the bar becomes stronger, perfectly straight and less ductile.
Application of round drawn bars:
- in the automotive industry (rods, stabilizing elements);
- in the furniture industry;
- in agriculture;
- in construction, and in fencing;
- for reinforcing concrete.
Peel round bars are formed by mechanically slicing the surface of the bar, so that the necessary diameter of the bar is obtained and the scale / scale, scratches or other surface defects in the material are removed.
An example application of round hulled bars is the manufacture of axles, pins or springs, which should withstand heavy loads.
Advantages of cold drawn or hulled bars include high dimensional accuracy, higher strength, smooth surface without scales.
The most popular grades of cold drawn or hulled round bars include S235JRC , S355J2C, C45, 42CrMo4, 11SMn30. The delivery condition is described by the ending +C (drawn), +SH (hulled) and +C/SH (drawn or hulled).
