Precision hollow sections are cold-formed in accordance with EN 10305 and have tighter dimensional tolerances compared to ordinary cold-formed sections. The tighter dimensional tolerances of precision hollow sections make them suitable for use in the manufacture of automotive parts, furniture, appliances, radiators, etc.
The advantage of precision hollow sections is that they are susceptible to additional machining and forming, such as bending, stretching, stamping, cutting, welding and the application of coatings such as chrome, zinc and powder.
The most common grade of precision hollow sections is considered to be E220, while others, ranging from E155 to E700, may be available on request.
Size range of precision hollow sections: from 10x10x0.8 mm to 60x60x3 mm (square) or 15x10x0.8 mm to 100x20x3 mm (rectangular), in case of lack of availability, we encourage you to inquire.
