What is a cold-formed closed section?
Cold-formed closed sections (profiles) are formed during the bending of a strip of steel sheet on a machine equipped with bending machines with rollers and welding. As a result, closed profiles of square / rectangular cross-section are formed. The advantage of cold-formed hollow sections is their better strength, rigidity and the possibility of producing thinner walls (compared to hot-rolled sections).
